More Lion King

Hey there! I enjoyed yesterday's contest so this day shall have a sequel! Bit first, the results. Conny was quick in his research and discovered that the mother of Nala was called Sarafina. However, he did not get the date right, even after trying three times. There is a limit to how many guesses you get, otherwise you could have got it right after 365 guesses. anyway, Hannah came in and had also done the research, unfortunetly too late. The first five points went to Conny. Conny is now no longer in the minus but has a balanced 0.On question number two Hannah got it exactly right. First time I saw the Lion King was 1994, November 28th, which is also my birthday. Hannah gets five points.
The positions:

Shared 1st place Marcus, Hannah and Silvestris 10 points
2nd place Frida 5 points
3rd -vacant--Nil points
Congratualtions!

So if you do the maths you will know that I saw the Lion King on stage 2004 November 28th. Since then I have seen it one more time and hopefully will again. To tell you the truth I was worried that it might be a bit silly but I am being completely honest when I say it was absolutely breath-taking! The scenography was so powerful and along with the familiar songs from the film, plus a whole bunch of new ones that all have the same quality (How could they not, based on Hans Zimmer's original score) The story of the Lion King got a whole new dimension to it when put on stage. The overall story had been matured and less considerant to fragile little minds of the kiddies out there, which in my opinion is a good thing. I was moved, I was touched and I flew around a little in dreamland. I shall see this again. Now onto today's questions. They will be slightly more difficult today.
Question number 1: The original Score of the Lion King was written by Hans Zimmer, who recieved an Academy Award for it. In my opinion it is his best work ever, and I am currently working on getting a hold of the original recordings (they were editied and shortened for the Soundtrack CD) the question is, as follows; When writing the score for the Lion King, Hans Zimmer was inspired by the works of another composer. What is the name of this composer?

Question number 2: Not only was Hans Zimmer inspired by this composer, but there is one musical piece especially that inspired him for the the tunes that enriched the PrideLands... What is the title of this musical piece?

This next bit goes out to Hannah. New hair colour eh? Well.. if I had to choose between red and black for you, I'd go for red. But to be honest, my favourite Hannah hair by far is this one. Sexay! (that is my sword by the way. Groovy, innit?)

And do NOT forget today's good deeds!

Jedi Powers

I spoke to the Neil today. He has not seen my journal, and so the "advice" I have left for him here has gone unnoticed. But being such a Jedi, wether or not he reads my advice makes little differance as they tend to get to him through some other, more mysterious means. That is much more interesting than getting them off the internet. He is working 12 hour shifts seven days per week. I might have been sending too strong brainwaves or something. But hey, it's all good.
Glad to see you on your feet, old Brittboy! Remember, you have got to become a superhero in time for me to get overpowerful and become a villain bent on destroying humanity. Just imagine if I reach that status and you're not a superhero yet! It would just be embarrassing!
As I spoke to Neil today, I promised to teach him how to build his own computer. That will be done on an upcoming weekend. It's gonna be nice to play with wires and electricity again, it has been quite a while since I last did that.

In other news, Silvy is almost ready to move. To help her funding she made a painting which is on sale on ebay! You like Unicorns? Then go bid! Support her, and get an excelent piece of art along with the warm fuzzy feeling of helping someone.
Speaking of helping, Silvy is running a page where she encourages people to help save endangered felines. I spoke about wolves not long ago, but there are felaines in dire need of help as well. One way of supporting them is through a one-click-per day sponsorship thing. Just klick on the support link once per day and some money goes into save the wonderful species in question! Go there now and be a hero! Felis.Silvestris.Net

Don't have time for a Blast From the Past at the moment but I will give you a small taste of one and a contest. This picture was taken at a filmset. I call this picture the Gift.

And now... the contest.

It is no secret that I love this film. Do you?

Here are the questions:

1: What is the name of the mother of the female lead character of the film

2: On the exact same date 10 years after I first saw the film, I saw the stage musical. What date was that?

Special clues; For question number one, her name is not mentioned in the film itself, but does appear in the cast-list. Question number 2, I did pick the date for the musical to match the first one, but there was another input to why it happened to be the same date, an input that has a lot to do with me.

You can get the information to me in any way you see fit. The first one to get a question right will recieve points for it. I will now introduce a new rule. In order to play this game you must go to Felis.Silvestris.Net, find the 1-click per day cat-support thingie, and click all three of them. I have no way of checking if you have or not, but if you lie about this, if you recieve points without having done it you will be abusing my trust. Is that really what you want to do? Well. Happy guessing!

See ya!

Me me me

Recently I have not given you many recent news. That is because there is not much to report. The next play is still in Analyzing stage and I have nothing interesting to say about that. Today I shall be a bit Narsicistic and overwhelm you with pictures of ME! Hannah did ask me to! It's not only my fault! Recent pictures of me will help you recognize me on my glorious return to the motherland in the future. I also want an excuse to show off my fake gun (it is a lighter really). Bought it in russia for 500 rubels. It was tricky to get across the border, but luckily we had permission for one bag of prop guns for the play, so I stuck it in there! Heee! Devious me!
When doing The Proposal I discovered something. Only in the world of theatre can you go into the mensroom and see every mirror being taken up by guys, putting make up on. Only in the theatre.. And maybe Soho.
You know.. four ego-pictures are enough. Well maybe just one more!

Oh calm down! It's just the back of my head!

sick of me yet?
Well.. I'll give you a non-me picture. I took this following picture out the window of the School greenroom the other day.

I did take it with my phonecamera so it's kinda crummy.. Same goes for all of today's pictures.. But they are still cool because of their motifes ;)

Blast From the Past part six

Today, nothing is from the present, it is all about the past in...
Blast From the Past part six, Blue Edition
Today, in Blast From the Past I will just give you pictures of random people I know from Trollhattan. Again, the selection of people to display is mostly based on picture availability.

This is the Jurgmeister! Mostly works at the cafe in M15.

This is Andreas Sollien. He lived in the apartment under me during my last year of Trollhattan, before I went on to London. He studies to be a film Producer! He looks like one too!

Anna. She is Anderas Sollien's girlfriend. She likes Chinese Mahjong with porn in it. On Playstation.

This is Madde (Sometimes I call her He-Man) Even though she does not live in Trollhattan now, it is still where I met her. She came to visit me a while back. and we watched The Lion King Musical! In other news, she has started to duplicate!

Neil Martin. English buddy of mine, met him in Trollhattan and as my readers know, he now lives in Swindon, UK.

Hannah Lemoine. She's been featured here before. Seen sitting in M15 with a Mona-Lisa smile, obviously hiding something devious. Did you drink that Coca Cola behind you? Was it YOURS?

Bjorn Milles. Also featured here before. On yet another note about him, likes the Ghostbusters.

I had a couple of more pictures planned, but am starting to realize that this entry is getting very picture-heavy. I shall save the rest of the pictures for a future Blast From the Past!

Before I leave you, here is a picture of the Trollhattan falls.

And Conny; Yes I do like dogs, and yes, especially Moffe. statues I place in my room though are based on how I see myself, not things that I like. I know you know me well enough to have guessed the right answer, so focus, and you may some day become a Jedi like your father.

See ya!

Good people

Not all people are bad. After writing yesterday's entry I was angry. I stormed out of the internet cafe and stomped my way home thinking of the horrible torture I would love to put the people named in last entry through. Once I got home I realized I had left my 2 GB USB memory stick in the internet cafe! In my state of mind I assumed the worst, that if I had been so lucky that a costumer in the cafe had not stolen it, the cafe staff could claim that someone had, and keep it. It was too late to get back there, they would be closing in 10 minutes and it was a 30 minute walk. I called the internet cafe and told them I had forgotten my USB stick and they said "Hang on, let me check. Ah, yes we have it here. Would you like to pick it up tomorrow?"

"..."
I was stunned. OK, so maybe not every human being deserves to die... only most. I thanked him, and here I am, picked the USB memory stick up and, while I am still angry about those bastards I wrote about yesterday, I do have one microscopic glimmer of hope for mankind. I will use that to get by another day. Another happy note is that most of Silvy's troubles with finding a home on the island of her upcoming education are over. She has found an apartment that will work as a home for her and her feline companions. She has promised me a spot on her floor when I come to visit as well. So I feel better now.

Today I will present you with some Moffe piccies! You've missed him haven't you? Here he is; Moffe the Wonder Dog! (now featuring an adorable puppy-pic)
This is moffe as a puppy! Look at him! Just look at him!
This is Moffe going for a treat. A split second ago the treat was resting on his nose, and in the time of the picture, hovering right in front of him.

This is a dramatic pose. Moffe looking into the distance, searching for things that cannot be seen, listening for sounds that may never be. Woof, Moffe... woof.

See ya!

People who suck ass!

I will now hand out the Suck Award of the year. I am a very calm person. I hardly ever get angry or judge people. There are, however some people who work very hard for my scolding, and I think it is my duty to award them.
The Scandinavian Wolf. A creature thought four decades ago to be without hope of survival. It was just a matter of years before they would be completely extinct. Only a few individuals were still alive. The lack of predators invited hunters to help kill off deer, who were beginning to overpopulate. Fair enough. Miraculously though, the wolves hung in there and a few years ago there were like 130 wolves around. It was amazing. A Triumph for nature and a sign that perhaps mankind really can live alongside nature in peace. However... Now the hunters are used to killing all that deer and are not willing to share with the wolves. They think the wolves should be wiped out. Also the farmers in the area who keep animals like sheep also think Scandinavia should be made wolf free.

First off. These hunter assholes are easy to dismiss. You don't need the deer, the wolves do! They are still very endangered and need us to BACK OFF if they are going to survive! What about the farmers? They want to protect their animals. Well, modern scientists have come up with an answer. FENCES! You fence your animals in and predators can not get to them! They protest about Swedish laws not allowing them to kill wolves unless they pose an immidiate threat to the animals in question, in other words catch them in the act. Here is my opinion. If you do not get a fence, suit your own fucking self! The wolves are predators, not murderers. They kill to survive, and their right for doing so should stay. What right do we have to kill them because we are too fucking lazy to put up proper fences? I might add that predator fences are tax deductable for people who keep animals. Today there are about 90 wolves in Scandinavia. The numbers have been reduced back down by human hands.
Recently a man killed a female wolf. Three shots. It had just killed one of his sheep. Fair enough, he was protecting his own. But it has now sparked a debate about forcing the gouvernment to lift the ban on wolf killing, or the inbred fucking assholes will take the matter into their own filthy hands! I am sorry to rant like this with so many uncivilized words, but with matters like this, I just can't see straight. The guy lived in wolf country, and had no fence to protect his sheep. He leaves them at nature's mercy, then whines about nature taking one of them.

The guy. See how sad he looks. He cares for his sheep (if the word sheep is slang for the money he could have spent on a fence! The sheep got killed because of his own neglect and a hungry mother wolf payed with her life)
The murderous beast who for some strange reason thought she had the right to do what is in her nature to do in order not to starve to death.
Seriously! Am I the only one to see a problem with all this?

Sorry... no fun picture for you today. I am way too upset about all this to be amusing.

Take a good loook at this picture. These creatures may soon be gone.

Goodbye my friend

I really wish my species was not such a vicious pack of assholes.

Blast From the Past part 5

Before I start this entry... just so you know, there is a guy outside this internet cafe playing bongos. He has been playing for about an hour.

Blast From the Past part 5! Now, even greener!

This is a behind-the-scenes pictures I grabbed once at a set. I was a bit sneaky and popped into their sight. It's a big nono to anyone but me. Truly! look at their grinning faces!
The people in the picture are, from left to right;
Bjorn Milles. You know him from a previous Blast From the Past. Namely Blast From the Past 2. On an extra note, Bjorn likes funny noises.
Conny Andersson. This is the guy with the -5 points. Even so, he is determined to make up for it and be the best Pokemon trainer ever! He is also a director.
This is David Eliasson. He is an Australian hoodlum who has travelled to Sweden to Rap Da House! He is fond of Porn, snakes and Toasters (I don't think they have toasters in Australia)
And to keep you even happier than you no doubt are now, I shall feature another picture of my little sister!
This is Karin in the Pianobar in Trollhattan! She is drinking applejuice. YES SHE IS! Don't argue with me!
And that guy is still playing bongos!
See ya!

Last entry, revised

I realized I have been horribly unfair. I was thinking about things people could do to surprise me for extra points, and I remembered the ultime! It happened online here, after I had opened this journal, and is indeed deserving of 10 points. (every event contains 10 points, so if a contest has 5 questions, every question is worth 2 points each, you figure it out)

So the poistions ARE;

Shared 1st place Marcus and Silvestris 10 points
Shared 2nd place Hannah and Frida 5 points
3rd place Conny -5 points
Congratualtions!

Remember Sily? She gave me this wonderful gift!
This beautiful picture, featured in the entry of July 25th, titled Oh. My. God!
Right is right and fair is fair. Now I have peace of mind.

See ya!

Rules clarification

Today we started on our second play. It will be A Portrait of a Madonna by Tennessee Williams. It will give me a chance to work on my southern USA accent. Now, for some clarification.

OK, here's the deal. With the little contests I throw here every now and then. You score points by being the first to answer a question correctly. So only the first one gets the points. If there are two questions and the first contestant only gets one right, the others can still get the second right. The only other way to get points is by giving me a very pleasant surprise that shows that you know and care about me. This is how you do not score points: By asking for points. there we go.
Yesterday's contest went like this; Hannah was quick to answer question number one. The person in the picture was indeed my little sister, Karin! She did not however get the second question right. Only one person got close to the right answer, namely Frida. I was a little hesitant about distributing the points though, as she tried to pin the location down to the very point where Karin was standing. I only required the name of the town, so technically Frida was right. The problem is, she pinpointed the wrong spot in the named town, Trollhattan. But after careful consideration, I had to be fair and since her faulty pinpointing was only faulty by less than a stonesthrow, she will get points. The picture was taken just across the road to the Saga Theatre just by the pier.
This contest had two questions, worth 5 points each. These go to Hannah and Frida.
This here is Frida. I felt should show you this picture, since this is the first time she has been mentioned in this journal.

So the positions are as following;

1st place Marcus 10 points
Shared 2nd place Hannah and Frida 5 points
3rd place Conny -5 points
Congratualtions!
See ya!

More f:ed up dreams

I was at a place in the country... with a sandwitch. I went to a store to get some milk, and apparently it was a do-it-yourself kind of thing. Costumers had to milk the cow themselves in order to buy milk. When the cow demanded that I showed it an ID card and a milking license, I decided I didn't really like milk anyway.

This morning I made a strange little video sequence based on some clips I filmed with a tiny digital camera a while back. Neil will be interested in seing that. Wait a minute.. Oh! you don't know who Neil is?
Well.
This here is Neil Martin. Though he is a POM/Brittboy, I met him in Sweden, now he is based in Swindon, UK. He is currently rolling around in his own mental slush but is hopefully about to pick himself up. You hear that? You have to pick yourself up, no pick will happen without anyone doing the picking! So come visit me again soon, and I'll teach you more in the ways of the force.

OK, some more pictures.
This is a blurrily cool picture of.. who is it? And where is it? Be the first to get these questions right! Now for another piccie.

This, ladies and gentlemen is... a... ummm..

Superhero!

Last night I had a dream. I was visiting Hannah, who was moving into a large apartment. There were others there, I remember Bjorn and David (the aussie version) especially, but David was passed out on a sofa. I think Neil was there drinking, and for some reason, Basta was there as well.there were webcams in every room, and they could give soundeffects for different events. Me and Bjorn set them up for sitcom sound effects when people entered a room. I found out from Hannah that she had won the lottery. It is possible she shared the ticket with either Frida or Lisa (or both). She told me that after sharing, and taxes, she would get 5 000.000 SEK out of it, only she had to share it with her cat (a new one, it was brownish red and it really liked me)

In the same dream, I was also going to travel to Japan to get a superhero costume made. It would be in the same material as Batman's costume. I remember the store had many interesting weapons, including lightsabers (if you bought a lightsaber you could get the Star Wars trilogy on DVD for no extra cost, but only one of the trilogies, the old one or the new one). I was more interested in the broadswords though. My parents were there as well, they wanted to have their say in what I bought I think.

Well.. What have we learned from this dream? Two things.
1: Hannah, you must go and buy a lottery ticket, pronto!
2: I really am a Superhero!

OK, so I'm speculating! It was a cool dream anyway.

I've got two days off school (the time will be made up on a weekend) because the director of next play can't make it until wednesday. I shall use the time well. This morning I wrote a short horror film script. Not an intesly compelling story, it is mainly designed to inspire the director (and cinematographer, production design, sound etc.) to make very spooky sequences.

What about today's picture? well let me see what's in my bag today... Ahh, how about some more pictures of my family?
This here, as my most faithful readers would already know, is my little sister, Karin.
My oldest neice, Rebecka.

Tune in tomorrow for some more juicy juiciness!

It's not my fault!

It ain't! I was in here yesterday, writing a long entry with lots of pictures, and the stupid blogspot server went down just as I was about to update! I got annoyed at having to do it all again, but it wouldn't get back up and eventually it was time for me to go to school! Anyway, I never promised to write every day. I will, however, to the best of my ability try and update here as often as I can. Now, here is what I promised you yesterday.

Anton Chekhov's
The Proposal
starring
Barabara Hatwell
Peter Sunnergren
Alexander Zwart
guest apperances by
Ben Willens
Sally Casta... Caston..
(dunno her last name, sorry)
Natalya Stepanovna Tchubukov
Daughter of Stepan Stepanovich, and pretty much head of the Tchubukov household. 25 years old and still unmarried (big deal in late 1800 russia). She fears she may never get married.

Ivan Vasilyevich Lomov
Neighbouring landowner to the Tchubukovs. He is a bit of a weakling and a hypocondriac. Yet, the death of his aunt makes him realize it is time to move on. He is 35 years old and still unmarried. He intends to propose to Natalya Stepanova, but has delayed it as much as he could, due to his weak nerves.

Stepan Stepanovich Tchubukov
A tired old landowner who wants nothing more than to be left in peace. It is very stressful for him to have such an old, unmarried daughter. It seems that Lomov is his last chance for peace.

Seems to be a perfect match doesn't it? 3 people with the same goals, how can it go wrong? Well... Read Anton Chekhov's The Proposal and you will find out. Here are some pictures from the production;
Poor Lomov is having a hard time trying to find the words to explain his visit to a confused Tchubukov.
His nervousness makes him even more clumbsy than normal.
And hightened clumbsiness makes way for... strange situations...
And a couple of poorly chosen words might spark off... other problems.
Yes indeed.
And indeed...
Physical Comedy... Don't you just love it?

Just a staged group picture. The cards were on a stand by the stage showing the odd character thought. It was a a cool kind of comedy spice.

In other news, someone at another online place I hang out, asked if anyone was willing to think of a few tattoo designs for him. More specifically, a wolf tattoo. I gave it a shot.

It didn't turn out as splendidly fantastic as I had hoped, but still pretty nifty. Well.. that's all for today (well, all for yesterday anyway)

See you all later! Bye!
